    Default Changing currency

There are probably also others who regret that they've chosen GBP as their currency in the past. Now, when Neteller has raised their exchange fees and GBP has significantly weakened, it's better idea to choose EUR if you have also EUR in your Neteller/Moneybookers. I've also started to play a lots of sports so I really regret that I chose GBP in Betfair and severals other sites a year ago...

So post here if you find a way to change the currency of gambling sites. Also post if you know that currency changing is not possible.

    I start:

Betfair: Changing is possible if you close your account and open a new one. You can't use the same ewallet that you used with the old account. So if you used Neteller, you can't use it anymore.

Bet365: Possible if you close your account and open a new one. Old deposit methods work.

Also remember to contact support first before you close your account!

If you manage to get Moneybookers VIP-status, you are allowed to open another account with other currency. Kinda cool IMO. I was promoted yesterday and will now open EUR account in addition to my current USD account. Helps if you want to avoid currency exchange fees.

I think I have read about a year ago that you can have several accounts for different currencies. Betfair doesn't care but of course you can't claim more than one bonus although you have more than one account. I don't know has this policy changed afterwards.

Is that VIP status different than "Pro gambler" status?

I haven't opened a new account so I only know what Betfair support said: "You can close and open a new account but it's not possible to transfer registered e-wallets or cards." (29. Dec 2008)

Nordicbet seems not to care if you open more than one account. I had two accounts open very long time because I didn't remember that I opened an account for poker in 2006. So "currency changing" probably is possible there.

I said this earlier and I will say it again because I too regret my currency choices. There should be "warning" about the currencies for some sites. At least for Betfair because of the sports betting. And maybe for sites that offer many reloads. 10% reloads are not profitable if you dont have the right currency.

My opinion is that some kind of mention when it's better choose matching currency rather than best EV in SUB could be in the Beginners casino guide. Definitely not in the Casino bonus list.

I think you should ask from Betfair support this matter to get confirmation. I just confirmed this thing with person who had opened second account for different currency. As said earlier you can claim only one bonus and have to use different deposit methods. Before you open second account contact customer support so you won't run in problems.

Conclusion: You can open a new account in Betfair, and it probably doens't matter if you keep the old(s) account(s). But you can't choose the same deposit methods even if you close the old account. And of course can only have one bonus.
